Founded in 1994 by Ben Rimalower, BareStage Productions provides a place for student actors, directors, writers, musicians, and designers to practice and develop their craft in a supportive environment. We produce five full-length shows each season. In addition, our ensemble groups, BareTroupe and BarePage, provide students the opportunity to perform regularly throughout the school year. We offer workshops throughout the year for our members to hone their craft in disciplines such as lighting, musicianship, and dance, regardless of participation in productions.
Our Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
BareStage Productions is committed to pursuing initiatives that promote equity within and beyond our walls. Though we recognize there is more to be done, we commit to an ongoing process and will continue to listen to members of our community. BareStage Productions engages in exploration between and beyond categories of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, religion, nationality, ability and artistic discipline. We aim to examine, appreciate, and share the complexities of culture through artistic collaboration, and in doing so, create a safe and supportive environment for our members.
